#423 Respect Culture or Face Failure: Leadership Lessons from Four Continents
Does your project team gel? If not, can you really achieve success? Modern project teams are extremely heterogenous: age, geography, culture, ethical outlook, and so forth. Ignoring cultural differences in teams is a recipe for disaster. Project leadership demands investing time in deeply understanding cultural factors, clear communication and transparency. Join our interactive session to gain and share insights and success factors from successful projects in four continents: Asia, Australia, North America, and South America.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Identify key cultural factors causing team dysfunction, for example, unclear/misinterpreted communication, attitudes to ethics and safety, personality conflicts, and distrust.
  • Analyze the success factors discussed to determine the top three to be effectively applied on projects.
